The North Shore Scenic Railroad hosts the area's only costume-mandatory Halloween party. This year's event features live music on the train by, appropirately enough, the band Derailed.
Here's the full schedule:
5:15 to 5:45 p.m. - Board the train at the Depot.
5:45 p.m. - The train departs the Depot - Music on board by G.A. Nelson's Midnight Express.
6 p.m. - Board the train at Fitger's.
7:45 p.m. - The train arrives in Two Harbors.
8 to 10 p.m. - Rock band Aftershock plays at the American Legion. Free hors d'oeuvres.
10:15 p.m. - Train departs Two Harbors.
10:15 to 11:55 p.m. - Music on the train by Derailed.
11:55 p.m. - Train stops at Fitger's. Deboard and listen to live music by Big Wave Dave & the Ripples at the Rex Bar or Tyrant Seabear at Fitger's Brewhouse.
Midnight - Train departs Fitger's to the Depot.
Wear a constume or withstand constant ridicule on the train. Tickets are $29 in advance and $30 on Oct. 27. They are available only at the Bookstore at Fitgers, 218-727-9077.
