In Germanic mythology, countless legends exist about the god Wotan. To pay homage to his story-starring prowess, the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra performs pieces inspired by dark, rich tales. First, Revueltas’ Sensemayá and then Wagner’s masterpiece The Ring of the Nibelung to finish.

  

In their mission to make live music experiences more accessible to the community, the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra is kicking off The DSSO Chamber Music Series, a six-part series of chamber music concerts at the Depot throughout the year. Starting out with a 30-minute social hour at 5 p.m., guests can explore the building and enjoy cocktail hour at the Depot’s cash bar. The live music starts at 5:30 p.m. and lasts about an hour.

In honor of the lengthening days, the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra looks to Persephone, the goddess of springtime. The DSSO performs Stravinsky's Scherzo à la Russe, Ravel's Piano Concerto in G and Brahms' Symphony No. 2, featuring pianist David Kadouch.

As the messenger of the Greek gods, Hermes traveled between men and gods routinely. Explore the vast distance between both in this concert. First, the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra performs Respighi’s Church Windows, then the DSSO Chorus joins the orchestra on Orff’s Carmina Burana.
