VENUES WITH EVENTS

Sixteen area galleries are taking part in this two-day autumnal edition of the Twin Ports Gallery Progressive. Some galleries will feature live artist demonstrations, some will feature lectures and some will feature good old-fashioned art parties.

Thursday events include:

Northern Prints Gallery, 318 N. 14th Ave. E., Duluth
Open house from 5 to 8 p.m. with a large selection of regional woodcuts, etchings and screen prints. Jeremy Ehrens performs on guitar.

Phantom Galleries Superior, 1112 and 1412 Tower Ave, Superior
Art party from 5 to 9 p.m. celebrating new art environments in vacant storefronts and "Back Door" project featuring a flashlight tour from 7 p.m. (starting at 1412 Tower Ave.). Also, artist talks by Luke Krisak, Chris Watten, Terry Millikan, Cecilia Ramón and Angela Haworth.

Duluth Art Institute, 506 W. Michigan St., Duluth
Artist dialogue at 5:30 p.m. with Eric Dubnicka and Jeremy Schock

Just for the Season Gallery, Holiday Center, 207 W. Superior St., Duluth
Gallery reception from 3 to 7 p.m. for Edna Blanchard's exhibit “Hang it All,” comprised of her oil and watercolor paintings.

Pineapple Arts - 124 W. First St., Duluth
Artwork from the volunteers at Pineapple Arts, plus hands on work stations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Waters of Superior - 395 S. Lake Ave., Duluth
Artwork on display from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Zeitgeist Arts - 222 E. Superior St., Duluth
UDAC's Art Junction show from 11 a.m. to midnight.
