The Free Range Film Festival is the farm-fresh alternative to stale cinema. Films are screened inside a big old barn in the heart of Minnesota's organic farm country, 909 County Road 4 in Wrenshall.
The two-day event will feature 32 films from around the world that range from a documentary about a snowmobile outlaw in Willow River to an 8-bit animation about the meaning of life.
The festival coincides with the opening ceremony for the Summer Olympics and features a film focusing on the Senior Olympics. It features a 102 year-old tennis player, an villainous team of southern basketball belles and a 80 year-old pole-vaulter trying to set a new world record.
The suggested $10 donation goes toward maintenance of the theater and organization of the festival.
