Grandma's Marathon is a 26.2-mile race on scenic Highway 61 along the north shore of Lake Superior. The race begins just outside of Two Harbors and finishes in Duluth's Canal Park.

Fishing begins at 8 a.m. on the St. Louis River in Duluth. Registration is $35 or $40 after June 14. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Duluth. $20,000 in prizes will be given away.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior hosts a basketball shooting camp for boys in grades 3-12 in the Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium in the Marcovich Wellness Center, 1810 Catlin Avenue. Campers will learn and practice the fundamentals of shooting a basketball.

Teams of seven will compete in this ultimate Frisbee tournament for high-school age players. The Northland Frisbee Invitational matches will be played at a variety of close parks in Cloquet. Games will be played at Braun, Hilltop, Pinehurst and Athletic parks, with the championship game being played under the lights at Pinehurst. Registration begins at 1 p.m. at Cloquet's Hilltop field and tournament play begins at 2 p.m.
