Fly Like An Eagle Races05/18/13 — 9:30 a.m.
Annual "Fly Like An Eagle" 5k and 1 mile races to benefit Lake Superior Elementary. There are also 400 yard and 100 yard "chase the principal" races for kids at 11 a.m. All kids' race participants receive a ribbon. Register by May 8th to guarantee a t-shirt. Event will be at Bear Creek Park (Osaugie Trail) in Superior.
Superior Trail 50k and 25k05/18/13 — 7 a.m.
$70 to $80
Participation is limited to a total of 500 people for both races combined. All participants receive a race souvenir and a meal after the race. Shower facilities will also be available. Races will be held at the Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen and the course will run out and back on the Superior Hiking Trail. The 25k will begin at 9 a.m.
Enduro racing takes place mostly on circle tracks, and involves stock-based cars that have no interior and no side or rear windows.
